“I wrote to the zoo to send me a pet…” In this simple tale a child asks the zoo to send a pet – but each one is more undesirable than the next. Movable flaps reveal the contents of each package and little kids love the excitement of seeing which animal is sent this time – from a big elephant, a tall giraffe, a fierce lion, a grumpy camel, a scary snake, a naughty monkey to a jumpy frog. Finally a perfect pet – a dog – is sent. Dear Zoo is twenty-five years old — and still as popular as ever.
