By Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton (Macmillan Children’s Books)
Guest reviewed by Joe, 11
The 104-Story Treehouse is about how Andy and Terry go on an adventurous journey to get their book submitted to their publisher. The story ranges from climbing to the top of Mount Everest on a never-ending staircase to eating worms and making friends with a 100 honey eating bears. Although the book wasn’t as good as some of the other Story Treehouse books I still loved it. The other books just had a stronger story line. I still recommend it.
Parents Note:
The Treehouse books have become a worldwide phenomena. Read Joe’s first review of The 13-Storey Treehouse at age 8 and you can see how they have grown. I think he’s outgrown them but he still enjoyed this latest one and read it in a day. Andy Griffiths‘ blend of silly humour, imagination and crazy adventure appeal to a wide range of younger readers and the numerous illustrations by Terry Denton also help emerging readers. Best for ages 7-11.
Look out for all the books in the series.
