Tidy

By Emily Gravett (Two Hoots)

When Pete the Badger gets a neat freak attack he starts cleaning up the forest – and the animals – with disastrous results.  It’s one thing to pick up after yourself and keep things tidy, but Pete needs to learn the lesson that life – and nature – are not meant to be perfectly tidy.  A great book for children who may be slightly neat obsessive or little perfectionists.  And even if they are not – they will love the twist in the tale: a little mess is good for everyone. The rhyming text and playful illustration details like the ants carrying all the cleaning equipment away aim this perfectly at readers age 3-6.  Another winner from Kate Greenaway Medal winner Emily Gravett, author of such classics as Meerkat Mail and Little Mouse’s Big Book of Beasts.
