Written by Perry Emerson and illustrated by Sean Julian ( Little Tiger)

Ages 3-7

This sweet story for children introduces readers to Pip and Bun, two bunny siblings who are very different when it comes to reading.

Pip LOVES reading. Bun does not. “Books are SO boring!” Bun says.

One day, Pip is happily reading her book while Bun impatiently waits to play with her. Then Bun gets grumpy because Pip says he is too little for books. Insulted, he decides to open one of Pip’s books. When he opens it he is amazed! Could it be that little rabbit may learn to enjoy reading?

When they have read all the books in their library, the siblings decide to write their own story together.  Only problem is, Pip wants a story with sunflowers and Bun wants baddies and parrots… “No!” shouts Pip and decides to write a story on her own.  Both bunnies sit apart but soon feel miserable and bad that they had a fight. They apologise and finish writing the book and while Pip reads the story, Bun acts it out.  A perfect compromise!
This sweet story about books, imagination, and play is an ideal choice for encouraging striving readers to enjoy reading books in their own way. The perfect book to encourage young and aspiring readers to enjoy reading!
