The Kingsmead Book Fair 2026

Diarise 23 May 2026 for another year of the annual Kingsmead Book Fair.

Kingsmead College will host the 14th annual Book Fair on Saturday, 23 May 2026 in association with Standard Bank – Wealth and Investment and Exclusive Books.

The children’s programme is packed with book readings by some of South Africa’s best children’s book authors. If you have published a children’s book released between January and May 2026, get in touch with the organisers here. There are a limited amount of spots and preference is given to books widely available and of high literary merit.

Reading takes you on adventures from the comfort of your home, letting you visit places, times and events far away. Reading builds vocabulary, trains visual literacy and inspires imagination. Let your children be inspired by books and reading and meeting the authors who create the tales they love to read.
